Anti-Speeding and Illegal Road Racing Operation

During the operation, Police arrested two persons for “Dangerous Driving” and “Speeding”, detained 23 vehicles for examination, detected 1,471 vehicles for speeding, and issued 23 summonses and 963 Fixed Penalty Tickets for various related traffic offences.
Police also conducted breath-tests on 1,665 drivers during the operation. Among them, 19 drivers were unable to pass the screening breath tests and were arrested.
Police encourage motorists to be responsible and safe road users. Do not exceed the speed limits and not to drive after consuming alcohol. Offenders who were convicted of either offence will be liable to a fine and imprisonment.
