The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) reminded members of the public that tickets for the three public events of the Rio 2016 Mainland Olympic gold medallists’ visit, namely “A Date with Mainland Olympic Gold Medallists” and two “Sports Demonstrations by Mainland Olympic Gold Medallists”, will be available for purchase starting from 10am on Monday (August 22).

     In addition to the table tennis demonstration at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium announced earlier, there will also be a badminton demonstration on the same occasion following the good results achieved by the Mainland badminton athletes.

​     Starting from 10am on Monday, tickets will be available for sale at the Hong Kong City Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Sha Tin Town Hall and Tuen Mun Town Hall at $20 each with free seating. Only cash will be accepted.

     In order to let more people have a chance to enjoy the demonstrations and the variety show, each person can purchase a maximum of two tickets per transaction in total for the three events.

​     The delegation of Mainland gold medallists will arrive in Hong Kong on August 27 for a three-day courtesy visit. They will meet the public on August 28, with three groups of athletes giving table tennis and badminton demonstrations at Queen Elizabeth Stadium from 9.30am to 11.30am and a diving demonstration at Victoria Park Swimming Pool from 10am to 11.30am respectively. 

​     “A Date with Mainland Olympic Gold Medallists” variety show will be held between 4.30pm and 6pm on the same day at Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
