Fatal traffic accident in Tsing Yi
     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsing Yi in the small hours today (August 16) in which a 52-year-old man died.

     At about 4.52am, a motorcycle driven by a 52-year-old man was travelling along Tsing Kwai Highway towards Tuen Mun. When approaching near Princess Margaret Hospital, it reportedly collided with a private car travelling from behind.

     After the impact, the private car driver left the scene and the vehicle caught fire. The fire was put out by firemen.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the motorcyclist was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 5.35am.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
