Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tin Sum yesterday (August 11) in which two men died.

     At about 7.50pm, a private car driven by a 33-year-old man was travelling along Tai Po Road - Sha Tin Heights towards Kowloon, while a heavy goods vehicle driven by a 58-year-old man was travelling in the opposite direction. When reaching the junction with Keng Hau Road, the two vehicles reportedly collided.
  
    Sustaining serious injuries, the 33-year-old private car driver and the 27-year-old male passenger of the private car were trapped inside the compartment and later rescued by firemen. They were certified dead at scene.

    Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
