CE wishes fight crime ambassadors a fruitful trip to the Netherlands (with photos)

     The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (August 11) met 22 fight crime ambassadors at Government House to wish them a fruitful and joyful trip to the Netherlands.

     Mr Leung encouraged the ambassadors to seize the opportunity to gain more exposure and exchange views with youths in the Netherlands on crime fighting and prevention.

     The ambassadors were winners of the “Hang Seng Bank - Help the Police Fight Youth Crime Competition 2016”. They will leave for the Netherlands on August 22, visiting the police departments and youth organisations during their eight-day journey.

     The Chief Executive also commended the fight crime ambassadors for their outstanding achievement in the competition and appreciated their leadership shown. He appealed to the continued participation of the ambassadors in fight youth crimes and encouraged them to disseminate the messages of combating ‘Drugs’, ‘Cyber Crime’ and ‘Quick Cash Crime” in the community.

     Earlier, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Lo Wai-chung, joined the ambassadors for lunch before accompanying them to meet the Chief Executive. The ambassadors also shared with Mr Lo the experience gained in the competition.

     The biennial competition was organised by the Police with sponsorship from Hang Seng Bank. Under the theme “Fight Crime Together for a Better Tomorrow”, this year’s competition attracted a record high of over 330,000 participants.

     Contestants had to go through three phases of evaluation comprising a combination of web game, micro film production and interview.
