     The Hong Kong Observatory replaced the No. 8 Northwest Gale or Storm Signal at 8.40pm yesterday (August 1), by the No. 8 Southwest Gale or Storm Signal at 4.40am today (August 2).

     As at 8.45am today, the 1823 Government Call Centre has received 114 reports of fallen trees.

     The Home Affairs Department has so far opened 27 temporary shelters in various districts and 218 people have sought refuge at the shelters as at 8.40am.

     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 9am, a total of three people, including two males and one female, aged between 34 and 55, have sought medical treatment at the Accident and Emergency Departments at public hospitals during the typhoon period.

     The Airport Authority Hong Kong reported that around 325 flights to and from Hong Kong are expected to be rescheduled during the period from 6am to 9pm today.

     As at 8.45am, the Drainage Services Department has not received any report of flooding. No report of landslide has been received.
