HKETO, Brussels supports the Hong Kong Sinfonietta in Portugal (English only) (with photos)

     The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) is supporting the Hong Kong Sinfonietta which is making its debut in Portugal at the third Marvão International Music Festival, giving three concerts at the historic Marvão Castle and at the Santiago Church on July 28, 29 and 31.

     The Marvão International Music Festival, which is being held from July 22 to 31, is a classical music festival attracting world-leading classical artists in the walled town of Marvão.

     Deputy Representative of HKETO, Brussels, Miss Drew Lai, attended the performance of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta on July 28 at the Marvão Castle to show HKETO, Brussels' support to the orchestra.

     The Hong Kong Sinfonietta is one of Hong Kong's flagship orchestras which has brought music closer to the community and has achieved significant recognition locally and internationally for its passionate performances and innovative programming. The orchestra performs year-round with over 100 performances a season. The orchestra has also been a regular participant at all the major festivals in Hong Kong, including the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Le French May, Hong Kong International Film Festival and festivals presented by the Hong Kong Government.
