The Hong Kong Children’s Choir enchanted the audience at the Lisbon International Youth Music Festival (Lisbon Music Fest) with a delightful performance on July 26 (Lisbon time).

Taking place in Lisbon during July and August, the Lisbon Music Fest brings together talented young musicians from all over the world. This is the second edition of this special Portuguese festival. Youth orchestras, choirs and jazz ensemble perform in various beautiful venues and outdoor locations.

Deputy Representative of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (Brussels ETO), Miss Drew Lai, said that the Brussels ETO has invited many talented Hong Kong musicians to Europe over the years. This year, the performances by the Hong Kong Children’s Choir promised to demonstrate its pursuit of excellence as well as artistic talent and team spirit to audiences in Portugal, said Miss Lai. Hong Kong is proud to have such a cultural ambassador, she added.

The Hong Kong Children’s Choir is the world’s largest children’s choir group, with over 5000 members and around 100 professional instructors. It will be giving six performances during its tour of Portugal, including three in Lisbon, and in Evora, Batalha and Élvas.
