Fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun

At about 5.21pm, a taxi driven by a 46-year-old man was travelling along Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road towards Yuen Long. When approaching near Ho Pong Street, it reportedly knocked down the five-year-old boy who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the boy was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 6.15pm.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
