Transcript of remarks by SCED at media session
**********************************************

Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, at a media session on the violent attack in Würzburg, Germany, after attending the 16th Consumer Rights Reporting Awards presentation ceremony and launching ceremony of Choice Magazine's 40th anniversary today (July 19):

Reporter: Mr So, what would the Government do as a follow-up action regarding the incident in Germany?

Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development: I think the most important thing is I understand a lot of Hong Kong residents will be going on summer vacation and, particularly when you go to cities in regions that these incidents are happening right now, that you should pay close attention to your personal safety and remain vigilant at all times. The Government in this incident has sent our representatives from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Berlin to visit the family. The Immigration Department is also sending people at the moment to go to Germany to pay visit to this family.
