Labour Department re-launches e-Learning Support Scheme
*******************************************************

The Labour Department (LD) is relaunching the training-cum-employment project named "e-Learning Support Scheme" under the Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP) this year. Two central recruitment days will be held on June 30 and July 15.

In order to facilitate the further development of electronic learning in secondary and primary schools as well as kindergartens in Hong Kong, several youth training projects under the Campus Series were consolidated into the new e-Learning Support Scheme (eLSS) last year, aiming to provide pre-employment and on-the-job training for young people who seek to pursue their career in the sectors of information technology, education and multi-media, and help pave them a promising future from school to career.

Last year, the eLSS received an overwhelming response. With support from over 100 schools across the territories, about 100 young people were employed to undergo 12-month on-the-job training with pay after pre-employment training.

To help graduates of Form 5 (under the old academic system) and of the DSE (under the new academic system) as well as those of sub-degree level (or equivalent) to find a suitable career after leaving school, the YETP is  relaunching the eLSS this year, providing two types of positions, the eLearning Support Associate (senior) and the eLearning Support Assistant (junior). Two central recruitment days will be held with details as below:
