The spokesperson for Tuen Mun Hospital (TMH) gave the following update today (June 25) regarding an earlier announcement on a cluster of Multi-Drug Resistant Acinetobacter (MDRA) in a mixed Medicine and Geriatrics ward:
The hospital has continued with the screening procedures and confirmed one more 60-year-old male patient to have MDRA. He has been discharged earlier.
The case has been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow up. The hospital will continue the enhanced infection control measures and closely monitor the situation.
