Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate two public processions to be held on Hong Kong Island this Saturday (April 30).
(I)
The following roads will be intermittently closed from 2pm until the crowd is dispersed:
- Westbound Hennessy Road; and
- Westbound Queensway.
(II)
The following roads will be intermittently closed from 4pm until the crowd is dispersed:
- Eastbound Des Voeux Road Central;
- Eastbound Queensway between Des Voeux Road Central and Tamar Street;
- Northbound Tamar Street; and
- If necessary, fast lane of Garden Road Flyover.
Vehicles may not be permitted to leave car parks along the procession route during the road closure period.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
