Applications invited for Pilot Scheme on Thematic Sponsorship to Support Family-related Initiatives (2016-17)

The following is issued on behalf of the Family Council:

     The Home Affairs Bureau and the Family Council today (March 31) launched the Pilot Scheme on Thematic Sponsorship to Support Family-related Initiatives (2016-17) (the Pilot Scheme) with the aim of creating a pro-family environment and supporting family-related initiatives. The Pilot Scheme is now accepting applications and the deadline is May 20 (Friday).

     The two-year Pilot Scheme provides one-off sponsorship to support non-profit making and worthwhile family-related initiatives which are able to meet the objectives of raising community awareness of family core values and the importance of families; creating and promoting a pro-family environment; and promoting family well-being. The themes for the 2016-17 Pilot Scheme are "Parent Education" and "Divorce Education".

     Interested parties are invited to join the briefing session to be held in Leighton Hill Community Hall, 133 Wong Nai Chung Road, Happy Valley, Hong Kong on April 26 (Tuesday) to learn more about the scope of the Pilot Scheme. Prior reservation is required.
