Tsuen Wan Thematic Job Fair for Broadcasting Industry attracts 200 participants
******************************************************

The Thematic Job Fair for Broadcasting Industry organised by the Labour Department (LD) at Tsuen Wan Job Centre today (March 22) attracted about 200 job seekers, including over 50 employees of Asia Television Limited (ATV), to attend on-the-spot interviews.

Five broadcasting/media organisations participated in the Job Fair and offered about 200 private sector vacancies for interested job seekers, including former/current employees of ATV, to apply and attend on-the-spot interviews.

In addition to organising the Job Fair, the LD has been actively providing employment support to ATV employees through various channels. These include assigning a dedicated employment services hotline (Tel: 2654 1429) to answer ATV employees' enquiries on such services, setting up special counters at all of the 13 Job Centres of the LD to provide priority registration and employment services for ATV employees, contacting and encouraging major broadcasting organisations to provide vacancies, and uploading information of those vacancies to the dedicated webpage of the LD's Interactive Employment Service website so that ATV employees may browse such vacancies anytime and anywhere online or via mobile application.

The LD will continue to canvass suitable vacancies and provide appropriate employment support to assist ATV employees in finding jobs.
