The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (March 17) that all public libraries will be closed on Good Friday (March 25), while Students' Study Rooms will be open from 8am to 9.30pm.
Apart from individual libraries' closing days, public library opening hours on the day following Good Friday (March 26), Easter Monday (March 28) and Ching Ming Festival (April 4) will be the same as on other public holidays.
The Multimedia Information System (MMIS) will be suspended from 9pm on March 24 to 8am on March 26. Library mobile app services, Internet and telephone renewal services and other online library services, including the library catalogue, borrowers' record enquiries, reservation of library materials and electronic resources (e-Books and e-Databases) will be suspended from 12.30am on March 25 to 8am on March 26.
