The Education Bureau today (February 23) announced the re-appointment of two members to the Quality Education Fund Investment Committee (QEFIC):
* Ms Clarea Au Suet-ming, Chairperson of CAAL Capital Limited
* Mr Plato Yip Kwong-to, Managing Director of P&S Investment Management (HK) Limited
Their appointments will take effect on March 11, 2016, for a term of two years.
The Quality Education Fund was established in early 1998 with a capital of $5 billion to fund community initiatives which promote quality education in Hong Kong. The QEFIC is responsible for formulating policies for and monitoring the investment of the Fund.
Since its establishment, the Fund has supported over 8 900 projects with a total grant amounting to over $4.2 billion.
