No. 3 alarm fire in Kwai Chung roundup

     A No. 3 alarm fire broke out at an industrial building at 42-46, Tai Lin Pai Road, Kwai Chung this afternoon (February 17).  The fire scene is a printing factory measured about 15 metres by 20 metres on the eighth floor.

     The fire broke out at 1.34pm and was upgraded to No. 3 alarm at 1.57pm.  The fire was put under control at 3.20pm and largely put out at 3.30pm.

     Firemen used two jets and four breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze.  About 60 occupants self-evacuated to places of safety.  Firemen also led 35 people to places of safety.

     No casualties have been reported.
