Lantau development public forums open for registration

     Two public forums will be held on February 20 (Saturday) and 28 (Sunday) to gauge public views on preliminary proposals on Lantau development. Registration has started. Members of the public are invited to attend.

     The preliminary proposals cover spatial planning and land use, conservation, strategic traffic and transport infrastructure, recreation and tourism, as well as social development, with a view to developing Lantau into a smart and low-carbon community for living, work, business, leisure and study while balancing and enhancing development and conservation.

     Seats for the forums are limited. You may register via the following channels. Please provide your name, email address and telephone number and the forum to be enrolled for. The enrolment form can be downloaded at the Lantau Development Advisory Committee (LanDAC) website ( Successful enrolment will be followed by a confirmation phone call or email. The two forums will be conducted in Cantonese with simultaneous English interpretation.

     The public engagement exercise for Lantau development is being held from January 31 to April 30, including public forums, a roving exhibition and briefing sessions. Details are available at LanDAC's website.
