Public forums on retirement protection

     The Commission on Poverty (CoP) launched a six-month public engagement exercise on retirement protection today (December 22). To gauge the views of the public, the CoP will hold five public forums. The public engagement activities will also include consultation meetings with 18 district councils.

     Members of the public are invited to register for attending the public forums. The registration arrangements have already been posted on the thematic website (www.rp.gov.hk).

     The first public forum will take place at Leighton Hill Community Hall, 133 Wong Nai Chung Road, Happy Valley, at 3pm on January 23, 2016 (Saturday).

     The second public forum will be held at Yau Tong Community Hall, 38 Ko Chiu Road, Yau Tong, at 3pm on February 27, 2016 (Saturday).

     The third public forum will be held at Princess Alexandra Community Centre, 60 Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan, at 3pm on March 12, 2016 (Saturday).

     The fourth public forum will be held at Mong Kok Community Hall, L2, Mong Kok Complex, 557 Shanghai Street, Mong Kok, at 3pm on April 23, 2016 (Saturday).

     The fifth public forum will be held at Wan Tau Tong Neighbourhood Community Centre, Wan Tau Tong Estate, Tai Po, at 3pm on May 7, 2016 (Saturday).

     Should there be any changes to the details of the forums, further announcement will be made.

     Members of the public who are interested in attending the first public forum may register by telephone (hotline: 2851 4996), email (forum@rp.gov.hk) or fax (3007 9037) starting from 9am tomorrow (December 23). The deadline for registration is 6pm on January 15, 2016. Each registered person can reserve up to two seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
