As Hong Kong continues to grow and change, remnants of its unique past remind us of the events that have shaped its character and people. From centuries-old Chinese structures to 19th century colonial architecture, many of these historical sites are protected as declared monuments.

News.gov.hk spoke with three Leisure and Cultural Services Department curators who explained the unique architectural and historical features of the three newly declared monuments.
The story appears on news.gov.hk today (December 20) in both text and video format.
