The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, visited a tech company which specialises in developing Internet of Things (IoT) intelligent hardware in Kwun Tong Industrial Area this afternoon (September 30).
Mr So said, "I am delighted that the company chose to set up its Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. It puts great emphasis on the city's role as a gateway to the world market, our manpower capacity, our sound information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and high Internet take-up rate."
The chief executive officer of the company demonstrated to Mr So the use of different IoT intelligent hardware and introduced the content service and terminal applications produced by the company.
Mr So said, "Innovation is not only about technology innovation, it can also be provision of innovative service or a brand new business model. This company is an exemplary example of integrating the three aspects."
