Appeal for information on dead body found in Lantau North (with photos)

    Police today (August 17) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Lantau North on February 21.

    About 2.40pm on that day, Police received a report that a man was found floating in the sea off a rocky beach on Tsin Yue Wan. He was rescued and certified dead at scene.

    The deceased was believed to be an Asian male aged between 35 and 40. He was about 1.65 metres tall, of medium build and with bare head. He was wearing a black windbreaker, black short-sleeved T-shirt, grey trousers, black socks and purple and yellow sports shoes. Police found small amount of Renminbi and a mobile phone in his possession but no identity document was found on the body.

    Initial investigations revealed no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

    Police urged anyone who knows the deceased or has any information to offer to contact officers of the Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Lantau North Division on 3661 1927.
