The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting United States (US) Congressional Black Caucus delegation led by its Chair, Mr George Kenneth Butterfield, at Government House this afternoon (August 17) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung updated the delegation on the latest developments of Hong Kong and the city's role as the "super-connector" in linking the US to the markets both in the Mainland of China and across Asia. Mr Leung encouraged more US enterprises to invest in Hong Kong and leverage on the close connection between the city and the Mainland of China to explore the Mainland market.
He also said he hoped that Hong Kong and the US could continue to maintain exchanges and strengthen ties on various fronts.
