SCMA to visit Beijing and Tianjin

     The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam, will depart Hong Kong for a four-day visit to Beijing and Tianjin on July 21 (Tuesday). He will meet with the relevant ministries and departments to exchange views on issues relating to Hong Kong's efforts in complementing the country's National 13th Five-Year Plan and the "One Belt, One Road" initiatives, and visit the China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Tianjin FTZ).

     In Beijing, Mr Tam will pay visits to different central ministries and departments including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council. In Tianjin, apart from visiting the Tianjin FTZ, he will also meet with officials of the Tianjin Municipal Government as well as Hong Kong people living and working in Tianjin.

     Mr Tam will return to Hong Kong on July 24. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, will be the Acting Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs.
