     The Hong Kong Observatory issued the No. 8 Northwest Gale or Storm Signal at 4.40pm today (July 9).

     The Home Affairs Department has so far opened 22 temporary shelters, with a total of 196 people seeking refuge at the shelters.

     The 1823 government call centre received a total of two reports of fallen trees.

     No report of flooding has been received.
