The Town Planning Board today (June 26) announced amendments to the approved Kwun Tong (North) Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of the Anderson Road Quarry site to the northeast of Anderson Road from "Other Specified Uses" ("OU") annotated "Mining and Quarrying" to "Residential (Group A)8", "Residential (Group B)1" ("R(B)1") to "R(B)4", "Commercial (1)" ("C(1)"), "C(2)", "Government, Institution or Community (2)", "Open Space", "OU" annotated for "Commercial Development and Vertical Transport Facility", "Landscaped Elevated Walkway", "Service Reservoir", "Pumping Station" and "Amenity Area", "Green Belt" and areas shown as "Road", as well as various technical zoning amendments, mainly for residential developments with supporting commercial and Government, institution and community facilities, and public open spaces. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zonings.
The draft Kwun Tong (North) OZP No. S/K14N/14, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Kowloon District Planning Office, the Kwun Tong District Office and the Sai Kung District Office.
Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before August 26. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft Kwun Tong (North) OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
