Police today (June 9) reclassified a dead body found case occurred yesterday (June 8) in Mong Kok as homicide.
About 10.45am yesterday, Police received a report that an expatriate woman was found unconscious and wrapped by a mattress on Changsha Street near Shanghai Street. The woman was certified dead at scene.
An initial post-mortem examination conducted on the deceased detected injuries to her head which might be caused by hard objects and multiple rib fractures. Further examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
A 30-year-old expatriate man is being wanted in suspected connection with the case.
Investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are underway.
