The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, visited the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) Jockey Club Rehabilitation Complex (JCRC) in Aberdeen with the Chairman and members of TWGHs Board of Directors today (June 8). He gave "fortune bags" to members and residents to show his concern and watched art performances with them as an early celebration of the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Arriving at the JCRC this morning, Mr Tsang first watched a drum performance by residents and toured around to appreciate "i-dArt" paintings and artefacts. He also chatted with members of the TWGHs Board of Directors, "i-dArt" artists and service users. Mr Tsang said the set-up of "i-dArt" not only helps bring the art of the disabled to society, but also fosters social inclusion for the disabled and others.

Mr Tsang then called at the iBakery workshop and the CookEasy kitchen, two social enterprises (SEs) run by the JCRC. He said he was glad to see that the SEs provide job opportunities and training for persons with disabilities, thus assisting their integration into society.
