The Town Planning Board today (May 8) announced amendments to the approved Chek Lap Kok Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendments mainly involve the designation of an area on the proposed reclamation to the north of the Hong Kong International Airport as "Other Specified Uses" ("OU") annotated "Airport" and two areas in the east and west of the proposed reclamation as "OU" annotated "Airport Service Area". The Notes are amended to include allowance for a people mover depot. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Explanatory Statement to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zones.
The draft Chek Lap Kok OZP No. S/I-CLK/13 incorporating amendments is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Sai Kung and Islands District Planning Office, the Islands District Office and its Tung Chung and Mui Wo Sub-offices.
Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before July 8. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
