Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

     Police today (April 24) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok on April 16 in which a 58-year-old woman died.

     At about 6.35pm on that day, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 58-year-old man was travelling along eastbound Dundas Street. When approaching Reclamation Street, it reportedly knocked down the 58-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining head and chest injuries, the woman was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in conscious state and was certified dead at 1.48pm on April 20.

     The PLB driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries and is required to report back to Police in late May.

     Active investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
