Dennis Wu to host "Journeys through Music Lecture Series" on Russian composers

     Following the positive response to the "Journeys through Music Lecture Series" instalments "Into Germany" and "Into Eastern Europe", versatile music practitioner Dennis Wu will return to host a new series, "Journeys through Music Lecture Series: Into Russia", from May to July. The new series, featuring eight lectures, is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

     Wu's lectures will introduce Russia's unique music culture, review familiar works and feature eight Russian composers. Details are as follows:

     Dennis Wu is an active music critic, composer and specialist on a wide range of projects and productions. He is also a radio producer, a Radio Television Hong Kong radio host and a frequent speaker at pre-concert talks, meet-the-artist panels and music criticism seminars. His writings are widely published in local newspapers and magazines.

     All lectures of "Journeys through Music Lecture Series: Into Russia" (to be conducted in Cantonese) will be held at 7.30pm at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Space Museum. Tickets priced at $50 per lecture are now available at URBTIX. Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and their minders, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets for CSSA recipients are available on a first-come, first-served basis).
