EMSD announces test results on LPG quality of ExxonMobil
********************************************************

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) announced today (April 11) that the department collected liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) samples from all of ExxonMobil's auto-LPG filling stations and its LPG terminal from April 8 to yesterday (April 10) for laboratory tests. The results showed that all the samples complied with auto-LPG specifications.

The department received notification from its laboratory on April 8 that an LPG sample from ExxonMobil's LPG filling station at Clear Water Bay Road failed to meet the specifications. It arranged immediately to collect LPG samples from all of the 17 auto-LPG filling stations and the LPG terminal of ExxonMobil for quality tests.

The EMSD launched in 2010 the LPG sampling scheme, under which samples are collected regularly on a random basis from auto-LPG filling stations and LPG terminals for quality tests. All the test results are published on the EMSD's website and updated weekly.

For details of the test results, please visit the EMSD's website (www.emsd.gov.hk/emsd/eng/sgi/lpg_smpl_analysis.shtml) or call the department's hotline on 2333 3762.
