The President of the Legislative Council (LegCo), Mr Jasper Tsang, continued with his visit to Japan today (March 10).
Mr Tsang started the day by visiting the Nippon Hoso Kyokai (NHK), Japan's only public broadcaster and he was interviewed by an NHK reporter. He then attended a lunch hosted by the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr Minoru Kiuchi, during which they exchanged views on various issues including Hong Kong's constitutional development and the implementation of "One Country, Two Systems" in Hong Kong.
In the afternoon, Mr Tsang visited the Ukishima Solar Power Plant to learn more about solar power generation and the latest eco-friendly technologies in Japan. In the evening, he also met with some 80 Hong Kong people living in Tokyo to gain a better understanding of their everyday life at a dinner hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Tokyo.
Mr Tsang will spend his third day in Japan tomorrow (March 11) to visit a number of organisations and corporations. He will also pay a courtesy call on the Acting Ambassador and Minister of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Japan, Mr Han Zhiqiang.
