CS to attend Working Meeting of Hong Kong/Guangdong Co-operation Joint Conference in Guangzhou

     The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, will lead a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government delegation to visit Guangzhou on Wednesday morning (March 11) to co-chair the 20th Working Meeting of the Hong Kong/Guangdong Co-operation Joint Conference with the Vice-Governor of Guangdong Province, Ms Zhao Yufang. The delegation will visit Nansha New Area in the afternoon.

     At the meeting, the two sides will review the progress of implementation of the 2014 Work Plan of the Framework Agreement on Hong Kong/Guangdong Co-operation and finalise the 2015 Work Plan.

     Members of the HKSAR Government delegation will include the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam; the Acting Secretary for Development, Mr Eric Ma; the Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Ms Chang King-yiu; the Under Secretary for the Environment, Ms Christine Loh; the Under Secretary for Food and Health, Professor Sophia Chan; the Under Secretary for Education, Mr Kevin Yeung; the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Godfrey Leung; and the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr James Lau.

     Mrs Lam will return to Hong Kong in the evening on the same day.
