Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, on further prosecution against ATV on wage offences today (January 27):
Secretary for Labour and Welfare: Today the Labour Department, on the advice of the Department of Justice, has laid summonses against ATV and one of its directors. Altogether 42 summonses have been laid - 21 against the company itself and 21 against the director. Also, on this Friday, there will be court hearing of the 30-odd summonses laid on the New Year's Eve against ATV and its director. So, we are taking enforcement action seriously.
