Tenders awarded for commercial site and residential site

     The Lands Department today (January 27) announced that the tenders for a commercial site and a residential site have been awarded on 50-year land grants at a total premium of $6,232.1 million.

     The commercial site, New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6512 at the junction of Hung Yip Street, Wai Yip Street, Shun Yip Street and Hoi Bun Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, was awarded to Century Land Investment Limited (parent company: Assets Guard Holdings Limited) at $5,860 million. The residential site, Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 518 at Hing Fong Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories, was awarded to Team Worldwide Limited (parent company: Global Convention Limited) at $372.1 million.

     "Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the two sites to the highest tenderers," a Lands Department spokesman said.

     The tenderers, other than the successful tenderer, in respect of each lot in alphabetical order, with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets, were:

     New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6512 has a site area of about 6,843 square metres and is designated for non-industrial (excluding residential, hotel, godown, petrol filling station and residential care home) purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 49,270 sq m and 82,116 sq m respectively.

     Kwai Chung Town Lot No. 518 has a site area of about 810 square metres and is designated for non-industrial (excluding godown, hotel and petrol filling station) purposes. The minimum gross floor area is 2,916 sq m. The maximum gross floor area for non-industrial (excluding godown, hotel, petrol filling station and private residential) purposes is 810 sq m. The maximum gross floor area for private residential purposes is computed according to the relevant special condition in the Conditions of Sale.
