The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, today (January 27) continued his visit to Tokyo, Japan.
In the morning, Mr So paid a courtesy call on the Chinese Ambassador to Japan, Mr Cheng Yonghua. He also met with the State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Mr Yosuke Takagi, to exchange views on bilateral trade and economic issues, including the use of Hong Kong as a platform for Japanese small and medium- sized enterprises to tap the Mainland market.
Mr So will depart for Osaka in the afternoon. He will visit Knowledge Capital to learn about its experience as a hub for nurturing knowledge creation activities. In the evening, he will attend a gathering with Hong Kong people working, studying or living in the Kansai area.
Mr So will address the opening of the "Think Global, Think Hong Kong" symposium tomorrow (January 28).
