Three Legislative Council (LegCo) Members conducted a site visit this morning (December 22) to Lugard Road on the Peak, to follow up on a complaint case about the proposed construction of a hotel on Lugard Road on the Peak.
Accompanied by representatives of the Development Bureau, the Antiquities and Monuments Office, the Planning Department, the Transport Department and the Fire Services Department, Members observed the width of Lugard Road. They also gained a better understanding of the pedestrian and vehicular traffic flows in the area, as well as the concern on fire fighting and rescue.
Members participating in the site visit included LegCo Redress System Duty Roster Members Mr Chung Kwok-pan (Convener) and Mr Wong Kwok-hing, as well as Dr Kenneth Chan who was invited to attend.
