The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, paid a courtesy call on the Director-general of the Guangdong Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Mr Zhan Siming, in Guangzhou this morning (December 17).
During the meeting, Dr Ko and Mr Zhan shared their views on matters relating to food safety, inspection and quarantine, aiming to further consolidate the established effective mechanism on cooperation between the two places.
Accompanying Dr Ko to call on Mr Zhan were the Permanent Secretary for Food and Health (Food), Mrs Marion Lai, and the Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene, Miss Vivian Lau.
Dr Ko will return to Hong Kong this afternoon.
