The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (December 15) openly appreciated colleagues of various government departments for their efforts in handling the occupy movement:
"Following the end of the occupy movement in Causeway Bay today, all road sections which were illegally occupied during the occupy movement are now fully reopened and all public transport have resumed normal services.
In the past two months or so, colleagues from police, fire services, healthcare, food and environmental hygiene, transport and other departments stayed committed to their work despite tremendous pressure. They made relentless efforts to serve Hong Kong people and minimise the disturbances caused by the occupy movement.
I greatly appreciate colleagues of various departments who have performed their duties and served Hong Kong people with dedications."
