The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department today (December 2) urged the public to suspend use of the following three models of feeding bottle steriliser and to contact the suppliers for collection:
* Brand name: KUKU Duckbill; model number: KU-9005;
* Brand name: minimoto; model number: YA0210 (HL-0633); and
* Brand name: Donbaby; model number: SM-613
The KUKU Duckbill feeding bottle steriliser was found in a recent safety test to have some wiring wrongly configured, affecting the function of thermal protection. The product was sold in Hong Kong between 2010 and October 2014. The supplier, Dao Shing Company, will initiate a voluntary product recall and post notices in newspapers today, tomorrow (December 3) and on December 4. The minimoto feeding bottle steriliser was also found in the test to have some wiring wrongly configured, affecting the function of thermal protection. The product was sold in Hong Kong between April 2013 and October 2014. The supplier, Nicenoon Far East Limited, will initiate a voluntary product recall and post notices in newspapers today and tomorrow. The Donbaby feeding bottle steriliser was found in the test to have the main on/off switch easily dislocated, exposing the live part of wiring. The product was sold in Hong Kong between 2009 and October 2014. The supplier, Golden Way International Enterprises Limited, will initiate a voluntary product recall and post notices in newspapers today, tomorrow and on December 4 and 11.
