Sick person in custody dies in public hospital

A sick male person in custody from Siu Lam Psychiatric Centre died in a public hospital yesterday (November 16).
The 50-year-old person in custody, who was suffering from psychosis and epilepsy, was sent to a public hospital for treatment of fever on November 10. His condition deteriorated later and he was certified dead at 8.03pm yesterday.
The case has been reported to the Police. A death inquest will be held by the Coroner's Court.
The man was sentenced to imprisonment for the offence of manslaughter.
