The Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Stephen Sui, will attend a conference on facilitating the sharing of benefits from social and economic developments with persons with disabilities in Beijing tomorrow (November 10).
The conference, organised by the China Disabled Persons' Federation, aims at promoting discussion of the implementation of a strategic framework for the third Asian and Pacific Decade of Disabled Persons (2013-2022) – the Incheon Strategy. It will also deliver the Joint Initiative on Equal Access and Inclusive Development for Persons with Disabilities. At the conference, Mr Sui will exchange views with representatives from other Asia-Pacific economies responsible for affairs related to persons with disabilities, international organisations for persons with disabilities, relevant experts and academics.
The Chairman of the Rehabilitation Advisory Committee, Mr Herman Hui, will also attend. They will return to Hong Kong on November 11.
