SHA compliments Hong Kong athletes on their remarkable performances in Asian Para Games

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, today (October 24) extended his warmest congratulations to Hong Kong athletes on their brilliant performances in the Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games.

     Mr Tsang said, "I sincerely take pride in the achievements of the Hong Kong delegation and their exceptional performance in a competition of the highest standard. I hope that they will continue to excel themselves and achieve more great results in the future."

     Mr Tsang commended Hong Kong athletes on their continued triumphs in the Asian Para Games, as well as the record-breaking number of 44 medals won by the Hong Kong delegation, and praised them for their perseverance.

     This year, the Asian Para Games took place in Incheon from October 18 to 24. The Hong Kong delegation comprises 119 athletes, representing Hong Kong in 14 events, namely archery, athletics, badminton, boccia, lawn bowls, rowing, shooting, swimming, sailing, table tennis, tenpin bowling, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair dance and wheelchair fencing.

     The Hong Kong delegation has won a total of 44 medals, including 10 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 19 bronze medals, in the Asian Para Games. The list of medals won yesterday and today is as follows:
