Police call on protestors to let emergency and public vehicles use the main roads
******************************************************

Regarding the protests being held outside the Central Government Complex and at various locations in Kowloon and on Hong Kong Island, a Police spokesman today (September 29) said Police will closely monitor the situation to ensure public order and public safety.

During the operation, Police officers have exercised restraint and performed their duties in a highly professional manner. Measures have also been taken to minimise the chance of people getting injured.

Since protestors have blocked the roads for a long time, the daily life of the public, public transport and emergency service are seriously affected. Police urge the protestors to stay calm, and stop charging Police cordon lines and occupying the main roads, so that the roads can be re-opened to emergency and public vehicles. Police will continue to adopt effective measures to maintain public order and safeguard public safety.
