MOU on air quality improvement signed with Seoul (with photo)

     Hong Kong and Seoul today (September 26) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance collaboration in air quality improvement.

     The MOU was signed in Seoul this afternoon by the Deputy Director of Environmental Protection of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Mr Andrew Lai, and the Director of the Climate and Air Quality Management Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Dr Choi Young-soo, after the 2014 Seoul International Forum on Air Quality Improvement.

     Under the MOU, Hong Kong and Seoul will enhance collaboration in air quality improvement, including exchange of air quality data on a real-time basis, sharing of air quality management practices, and arrangement of topical seminars and studies.

     The Environmental Protection Department of the HKSAR and the Climate and Environment Headquarters of the Seoul Metropolitan Government will be the focal points under the MOU for implementation of the collaborative initiatives.
