SHA congratulates HK athletes on winning medals in Incheon Asian Games

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, extended his congratulations to two Hong Kong athletes for winning two gold medals in the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 (Asian Games) today (September 25).

    Cyclist Lee Wai-sze won a gold medal in the Women's Sprint of Track Cycling. Moreover, Gymnast Shek Wai-hung won a gold medal in Men's Vault event. Shek Wai-hung is the first Hong Kong athlete winning a gold medal in Asian Games' Gymnastics Artistic event.

     "Hong Kong's athletes have once again demonstrated their unswerving efforts and sportsmanship by winning medals in various events. We are especially thrilled by the athletes' achievements today," Mr Tsang said.

     He extended his congratulations to the Hong Kong team and expressed special thanks to the coaches, working staff and families of the athletes for their hard work and support.

     The Hong Kong team has so far won 23 medals, including four gold medals, five silver medals and 14 bronze medals, at the Asian Games. The list of medals won later yesterday and today are as follows:
