SEN starts his visit to Washington, DC (with photos)

     The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, continued his duty visit to the United States in Washington, DC, today (September 24, Washington, DC, time).

     Upon his arrival in Washington, DC, Mr Wong started his day by joining a roundtable discussion hosted by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars with environmental and energy experts and other think tanks.

     Speaking on the topic of "Beyond Green Buildings: Hong Kong's Transition to Liveable, Low-Carbon Communities in Asia", Mr Wong shared with the participants his vision to chart Hong Kong's way forward as a low-carbon and green city. An open discussion was moderated by the Director of the China Environment Forum of the Center, Dr Jennifer Turner.

     Mr Wong will continue his visit in Washington, DC, tomorrow (September 25, Washington, DC, time).
