The Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Stephen Sui, will attend the Sixth Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Human Resources Development Ministerial Meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam, tomorrow (September 6).
The theme of the APEC meeting is "Strengthening People-to-People Connectivity and Quality Employment Through Human Resources Development". Mr Sui will deliver a speech under the sub-theme "Enhancing human resource quality to meet supply chain demands" in the morning and will exchange views with ministers of other APEC member economies on issues related to human resources development and employment.
The Assistant Commissioner (Employment Services) for Labour, Mrs Tonia Leung, will also attend. They will return to Hong Kong on September 7.
